1) Work Environment and Employee Involvement
2) Customer Assessment
3) Quality Performance
4) Productivity Performance
5) Cost Improvements

(B) It was followed by an assessment of the participant companies by the Jury. (And it is this feature that makes winning the award so special.) This year the Jury was headed by none other than a personality like Sri Pawan Munjal (Managing Director – Hero Honda Motors Limited). The other members of the jury were Sri Vinood Dasari (COO – Ashok Leyland Ltd.), Sri Arun Juara (Group Chief technology Officer – Mahindra and Mahindra), Sri Krishan Kumar (Director – Maruti Centre For Excellence) and Sri Shrikant Marathe (Director – ARAI)!
(C) After short-listing the companies, on the basis of the Assessment Report, ACMA Centre for Technology (ACT) Counsellors visited VEPL-IV to ensure that the data furnished were authentic.
(D) The final selection for awarding the trophy was made on the basis of the feedback by the ACT Counsellors to the Jury.
The award was formally handed-over to VEPL-IV on September 3, 2008 at a glittering ceremony in New Delhi. On September 9, 2008 Tarang Jain (Managing Director), accompanied by Anjani Koomar (Group Senior Vice President – HR) and M.P. Sharma (Associate Vice President – Materials), visited VEPL-IV to personally congratulate the Plant employees and give further boost to their morale. |
